Happy Birthday Xzavier!!

It's hard to believe that a year has gone by so quickly and that my little boy is 1!! What a wonderful year its been. Although Zav's birthday was May 24th, we celebrated his birthday on Saturday the 22nd and it was so so so much FUN! It was rubber ducky themed with a full taco bar, a pull apart cupcake cake in the shape of a '1', and about 40 of our closest friends and family. Thank you to my aunt Connie for all her help with the 8 hours of baking (I couldn't have done it without her), my sister Trista and niece Vitoria for cleaning my house and my mom for watching Zav so that I could prepare for the party on the big day. Thank you also to all our friends and family who helped us celebrate Zav's special day. Gene and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and look forward to many, many more birthdays just as fun and perfect as this one!

Happy Mother's Day!

My first Mother's Day was the most beautiful day. I'd like to thank my family for making my day so special...and to my precious son Xzavier who makes being his mom the best job in all the world.

The tulip festival

Spring can't pass without a trip to the tulip fields...and since my parents live next door to one, I couldn't pass up the great photo opportunity with my new camera!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter...we had our adult Easter egg hunt and at the last minute I decided to make dinner for around 15 people. It turned out pretty good! Zav had a great day too. He managed to score a total of 5 Easter baskets but of course loved the grass at the bottom of the basket more than anything. He had so much fun and is so dang cute!!

Zav loves his Radio Flyer so I one sunny Saturday afternoon, I couldn't resist getting out my fancy new camera and snapping away. My camera is awesome...and captures the beauty of my baby so beautifully!
